HCPC and The College of Podiatry

Emma Westers is registered with both the HCPC and the The College of Podiatry.
The HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council) is a UK-wide regulatory body, which regulates many health care professionals. Since 2005, only those who have satisfied the criteria for registration with the HCPC can call themselves a Chiropodist and Podiatrist. Attending an HCPC registered Podiatrist helps ensure your health professional is genuine.

The The College of Podiatry is the leading body for HCPC registered Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

The Diabetic Foot

Diabetes may affect your feet in a number of ways.
One of the early changes can be the loss of sensation in your feet, often starting at the toes. This is known as peripheral neuropathy.
It is always advisable to wear shoes that fit properly. At Centre4Feet we will advise you on how to look after your feet, what footwear would be suitable for you and what to do if you discover you have a foot problem.
We can see you on a regular basis if you find looking after your feet difficult and we will offer you regular foot screening to check on the blood flow to your feet and the sensation of your feet.

The Child's Foot

At Centre4Feet we not only see the more mature patient, we also see children from toddlers to teenagers.
We have a good success rate at treating verrucae using treatments which are easy to apply at home or alternatively we can treat your child in the surgery. We can advise you on the health of your child’s foot, from simple nail cutting to footwear.

We regularly see and treat ballet dancers and sporty children.
